2001 Mars Odyssey: GRS

March 12, 2009. Release 27 of
Odyssey data does not include any new GRS Summed Gamma
Spectra. No raw or derived GRS science data products
were generated during the period covered by this
release, July 1 - September 30, 2008, because the GRS
instrument suite was turned off from mid-June through
November 6, 2008.

GRS Summed Gamma Spectra (SGS) products are organized as a single
virtual volume. Each data file represents one 5-degree latitude band and has 72
records, each record containing gamma spectra summed over a 5-degree bin of
longitude within the band of latitude. Thirty-six data files that represent the
36 5-degree latitude bands on the planet are grouped together in one
subdirectory. The data in one subdirectory were acquired during a time interval
of 15 degrees of solar longitude (Ls). The subdirectories are in turn grouped
into directories by mission year.
