CheMin (Chemistry and Mineralogy)

MSL Release 41 includes new CheMin raw (EDR) and
derived (RDR)data from sols 4613 – 4709, July 28,
2025 – November 5, 2025. Unreleased CheMin derived
(RDR) data from sols 4489 - 4612 is also included
in this release.

CheMin identifies and measures the abundance of
various minerals on Mars using X-ray diffraction. CheMin
analyzes powdered rock samples generated by the rover's
drill and soil samples collected by the rover's scoop.
CheMin data sets are produced by the CheMin Team at NASA
Ames Reseach Center.
