MESSENGER: Radio Science

September 7, 2022. A copy of the migrated Radio Science raw data archive (PDS4) is now available at the Geosciences Node.

August 31, 2021. A new Mercury SHBDR gravity model derived from MESSENGER radio science data has been added to the RDR archive, online here. See readme.txt for details.

MESSENGER Radio Science data sets are produced by the Radio Science Team at NASA / Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Maryland.

Radio Science Data Sets

Raw Data Products
Radio Science EDR - Experiment Data Records (raw data) (PDS4)
Derived Data Products
Radio Science RDR - Reduced Data Records (occultation and spherical harmonics data products) (PDS4)

Online Tools

Mercury Orbital Data Explorer - Provides search, display, and download  tools for this data set.
Mercury Footprint Coverage Explorer - Part of the Mercury ODE, this page links to product coverage maps in Google Earth and other formats.
MESSENGER QuickMap - This simple, interactive map interface used by the MESSENGER science team is now available to the public.
