Mars Global Surveyor: TES

November 05, 2009. Release of the derived TES Thermal Inertia Maps archive. Access the archive via the link at the bottom of this page.
October 23, 2008. The TES Data Tool is a new offering from the TES Data Node at Arizona State that allows queries across the entire TES archive.

The Thermal Emission Spectrometer (TES) Standard Products contain raw and calibrated thermal infrared radiance spectra, visual and thermal bolometric radiance measurements, and atmospheric and surface properties derived from this data. Also included are the parameters that describe each observation, some down-linked diagnostic information, and pointing and positional information derived from the project's SPICE kernels. TES data are produced by the TES Science Team at Arizona State University and archived by the PDS Geosciences Node.

The TES Data Node, a satellite to the Geosciences Node, has the same data online as the Geosciences Node but organized in a different way. Instead of grouping the data by CD-ROM archive volume, the Data Node presents all TES data on one online "virtual" volume.

The TES Data Tool is a convenient way to query the entire TES archive at the Data Node.

Software is available to read and extract data from TES files.
