Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport (InSight)

InSight Release 18 includes new IDA video and calibration collections. Revised SEIS data will be released in the next few days.

The InSight Lander landed on Mars and began operations on November 26, 2018. Last contact with the spacecraft occurred on December 15, 2022; the mission officially ended on December 20, 2022. Information about the mission and its science instruments is in the InSight Document Bundle below.

Science data from InSight's suite of instruments will be released by PDS quarterly. See the complete release schedule below.

Jul. 23, 2021. The first release of HP3 data is now available.

Apr. 1, 2021. InSight Release 8 includes raw and calibrated data through December 31, 2020. The SEIS archive now includes the MQS catalog and schema collections.

Jan. 4, 2021. InSight Release 7 includes raw and calibrated data from July 1 through at least Sept. 30, 2020. Some instruments have released data through Oct. 12, 2020, the end of the first Mars year of operations.

Oct. 1, 2020. InSight Release 6 includes raw and calibrated data from Apr. 1 through June 30, 2020. The SEIS archive now includes the Lander Activity Files collection.

July 1, 2020. InSight Release 5 includes raw and calibrated data from Jan. 1 through Mar. 31, 2020.

Apr. 1, 2020. InSight Release 4 includes raw and calibrated data from Oct. 1 through Dec. 31, 2019.

Jan. 2, 2020. InSight Release 3 includes raw and calibrated data from July 1 through Sept. 30, 2019.

Oct. 10, 2019. The IDA peer review is complete and the archive is now PDS-certified.

Sept. 23, 2019. InSight Release 2 includes raw and calibrated data from April 1 through June 30, 2019.

July 11, 2019. The date for InSight Release 2 has been moved from October 1 to September 23, 2019.

June 26, 2019. InSight Release 1b includes calibrated data from November 26, 2018, to March 31, 2019.

May 24, 2019. InSight Release 1a includes raw data from November 26, 2018 - February 28, 2019.
