Magellan Spherical
Harmonics, Topography, and Gravity Data
September
28, 2023.
The Magellan Spherical
Harmonic, Gravity, and Topography dataset has
been migrated to the PDS4 standard. The original PDS3 data products,
labels, and documentation remain
available in their original archive
volume. The only change is that PDS4 labels and
documentation have been added to the archives.
The original data files are unchanged. Please
see
geo_notes_and_errata.pdf for more information. |
This archive contains Magellan spherical harmonic models of Venus' gravity
and topography field, and digital maps of the Bouguer anomalies, free-air gravity
accelerations and errors, geoid anomalies and errors, and topography. It also
contains documentation describing the products.

Data Set Producers
The spherical harmonic gravity
model and digital gravity map products were generated by William L. Sjogren, JPL
and Alex S. Konopliv, JPL. The spherical harmonic topography model and digital
topography map products were generated by Nicole J. Rappaport, JPL. Please direct
any questions and comments to the PDS Geosciences Node,
